my purple pillar rose of sharon has self-seeded too ... but not to the extent that other rose of sharons do - i dont find seedlings all over - just a few over the 5 years that i have had this shrub flower.

We now live in Florida zone 9b and it makes me miss my NJ gardens every day! I have yet to meet a gardener I haven't liked yet! They are all so kind, and genuine!
